With a grand 'ole flag comes a grand 'ole parade as Muskegon County residents lined the streets of Whitehall and Montague for the White Lake Independence Day Parade.
And the Muskegon County Republican Party was there to join in for the 245th birthday celebration of our great nation with a grand float dressed in red, white and blue and a whole lot of patriotism!
It was an exciting ride on the Muskegon County Republican float with crowd lined streets as people waved and cheered the Republican Party shouting, "Freedom!" and "God Bless America!" and giving a 'thumbs up' as the float passed by. American flags and a whole lot of red, white and blue decorated each float, vehicle and spectator as far as the eye could see. The republican float spared none when it came to patriotic décor on both the float and the County Commissioners, Republican Party members and delegates who participated riding on the float. Our spritely walkers and passing out invitation flyers for our upcoming Summer Patriotic Party on Lake Michigan on July 24th.
The Feel of the Crowd: It's Trump Country
Well over half of the Parade attendees cheered enthusiastically for our float, Republican values, and our waving "Trump" character (thanks Chuck Ritchard!). This is compared to the Democrat float which was sparsely manned and not as warmly welcomed. It's a clear indication that the White Lake area is hungry for more representatives that will fight for Trump-republican values.
We intend to bring them just that!
Unlocked & Independent
After a year of lockdowns, cancelled events and social distancing, God definitely shined His grace on this day with sunshine, temperatures in the 80's and festivities for family and friends everywhere. We could not have asked for a more perfect day as it came to a close with bursting flares of firework displays through out Muskegon County. It was a 'grand' day for honoring our Founding Fathers and all who have sacrificed to secure the freedoms we hold so dear.
