A Resolution Opposing The MIGOP On Promoting James Craig For Governor

A RESOLUTION OF THE MUSKEGON COUNTY REPUBLICAN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OPPOSING MIGOP PROMOTING GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE JAMES CRAIG FOR MICHIGAN GOVERNOR

WHEREAS: The establishment party of the MIGOP is showing broad support for gubernatorial candidate, James Craig, who up until recently has been a registered Democrat; and

WHEREAS: James Craig did not uphold his constitutional duty of protecting the liberties, rights and freedoms granted to the people of Michigan by God and the Constitution by way of aggressively enforcing the tyrannical mandates issued by Governor Gretchen Whitmer during the 300+ days of the Covid-19 pandemic; and

Whereas, James Craig does not abide in America or Michigan First priorities and policies as a Constitutional Conservative; and

WHEREAS: We do have gubernatorial candidates who are Constitutional Conservatives running on an America and Michigan First platform; and

WHEREAS: Under the command of said Chief James Craig, his law enforcement officers prevented Republican poll watchers from entering the TCF Center during the 2020 election; and

WHEREAS: James Craig does not stand with the people of Michigan on obtaining a full Forensic Audit of the 2020 election; and

WHEREAS: James Craig has advocated and worked for the implementation of CCP style facial recognition software by using taxpayer funds which would violate the privacy rights of the people of Michigan; and

WHEREAS: James Craig supports stricter gun laws, an assault weapons ban and control on all ammunition sales while giving conflicting statements on gun ownership and aligning himself with Democrat policies; and

WHEREAS: James Craig does not completely satisfy the Republican Party Platforms core values

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Muskegon County Republican Executive Committee will endorse the candidate that best upholds the Constitutional, conservative values that the Republican Party Platform is based on, and not prematurely before the State MIGOP Convention and 2022 primary election.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; That a copy of this resolution will be sent to the MIGOP Executive Committee and all Michigan County Republican Executive Committees.
