About the Chairman
David Farhat is a lifelong resident of Muskegon County and is an avid outdoorsman. His commitment is shown in his involvement in the following Sportsmen, Conservation, and Civic organizations: Muskegon Conservation District, Past President of Pheasants Forever, National Wild Turkey Federation, Sportsmen for Youth, MSU Extension Advisory Council Member, Muskegon Area Chamber of Commerce, Twin Lake Gun Club, Fruitport Lions Club, Fruitport Conservation Club, Ravenna Conservation Club, and Founder of the Michigan Sportsmen's Foundation.
David has been a local real estate developer and entrepreneur for 25 years. He served Muskegon County in the Michigan House of Representatives for 2 terms. While serving in the Michigan House, he was appointed to the powerful Appropriations Committee. On that committee, he became the Vice Chairperson of the Joint Capital Outlay Committee, which works on funding projects all over the State of Michigan.
